September 12, 1957: Ms. Aline Landrum holding a photo of Elvis taken by her on September 12, 1957.
On September 12, 1957 in Cleveland, Texas a black Cadillac rolled up to the Little Shamrock Cafe. In the car were musicians and a singer to have breakfast. Aline Landrum was at work this September morning, it was she who had the honor of serving Elvis Presley breakfast. Elvis ordered eggs, bacon, cheese, coffee, pancakes, chocolate cake, and a Pepsi Cola.
“James Hefley kindly shared this remarkable photo of Elvis eating breakfast at the Little Shamrock Cafe in Cleveland, Texas, on September 12, 1957. Aline Landrum was his waitress that morning. Landrum passed away last year at the age of 92. She recalled that Elvis ordered a big breakfast consisting of two eggs, an order of bacon, a double order of toast, coffee, pancakes, a piece of chocolate pie, and a Pepsi Cola. The breakfast of kings, I reckon.”
